Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell at East Point College of Engineering and Technology is a deliberate, structured commitment to ensure that the next generation of engineers who walk through EPCET Campus leave not just with a degree, but with the audacity to build, the skills to sustain, and the values to lead. We believe that every great enterprise begins with a student who refused to settle for ordinary and the EPCET-EDC exists to find those students, fuel their ambition, and stand behind them every step of the way, from the first rough idea to the first paying customer. India does not lack problems worth solving. What it lacks is enough engineers willing to solve them as entrepreneurs, and that is precisely the gap this cell is being built to close. Rooted in the conviction that technology and enterprise are two sides of the same coin, the EDC will serve as the institutional bridge between classroom learning and real-world impact nurturing ideas that address genuine needs, building ventures that create employment, and shaping graduates who contribute to India's economy not just as professionals, but as founders and creators. At EPCET, we do not believe entrepreneurship is a talent that only a few are born with. We believe it is a skill, a mindset, and a culture one that can be built, taught, and sustained and that is exactly what this cell will do.

Objectives

  • To inspire every student at EPCET, regardless of gender or background, to think like an entrepreneur and walk a clear, supported path from idea to registered business.
  • To build live, working connections with industries, incubators, investors, and government bodies.
  • To deliver practical, industry-driven programmes in entrepreneurship, leadership, financial literacy, branding, and technology commercialisation
  • To establish an on-campus incubation centre, making starting a company at EPCET something normal, not something rare.
