Academic Monitoring and Audit Committee

Any or all the members of the committee shall visit the departments/classrooms and monitor the academic process. Faculty members will be suggested to incorporate changes in the academic process if there are any deviations. Also, Academic Monitoring Committee takes the responsibility of preparing the academic calendar.
For proper functioning of academics in an educational institution and to quantify the efforts dispensed by the faculty and students, some assessment components have been designed which includes the assessment of course delivery as per the curriculum and syllabus, the co curricular and extra-curricular activities of students, overall discipline and the academic functioning of the Institution, delivery of the duties and responsibilities of faculty members and monitoring of the class, progress of courses, internal assessment, student welfare and grievances.
It is intended to focus on and improve various components of the Teaching-Learning Process and to improve accountability related to the academic functioning of each Department.

Anti Sexual Harassment Committee (ASHC)

The Institute has constituted an Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee (ASHC), whose main objectives are to ensure a harassment-free environment for all those who are studying or working in the institute, and to address any harassment complaint.
The Committee is responsible for investigating every formal written complaint of sexual harassment and taking appropriate remedial measures to respond to any substantiated allegations of sexual harassment.

  • To receive complaints, if any, from the staff and students who have been subject to sexual harassment.
  • To evolve a mechanism for the prevention and redressal of sexual harassment cases and other acts of gender based violence in the institution.
  • To ensure the implementation of the policy in letter and spirit through proper reporting of the complaints and their follow-up procedures.
  • To provide an environment free of gender-based discrimination.
  • To ensure equal access of all facilities and participation in activities of the college

Anti-Ragging / Anti-Ragging Flying Squad Committee

Ragging is a social evil that always sends in unpleasant incidents in any institute of higher learning. This is to be curtailed at every level to make ragging free campus. The law also takes serious view of such ragging cases and punishment is also high. To curb ragging effectively anti-ragging committee is formed.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To build self-esteem & dignity among junior boys and girls students
  • To maintain discipline in the campus and to ensure the implementation of guidelines/order issued by AICTE/UGC/University/Govt. to prevent ragging in the Campus.
  • To take cognizance of any breach of discipline and suggest immediate disciplinary action in such cases to implement and coordinate anti-ragging measures along with Convener and members of teaching staff, Students and Alumni.
  • To decide the quantum of punishment to be imposed on the erring students.
  • To monitor discipline among students' community in the classroom, in the whole campus and as well as at other places.
  • To conduct inquiries of the defaulter students against individual/collective indiscipline Collection of relevant evidence of incidence of indiscipline.
  • To take preventive steps such as issue of notices, warnings, instructions, regulating certain actions, etc., against individual or collective in discipline.
  • It shall work under the overall guidance of the Anti-Ragging Committee.
  • The Squad shall have a vigil and patrolling functions.
  • It shall be kept mobile, alert and active at all times and shall be empowered to inspect places of potential ragging and make surprise raids on hostels and other places (Canteen, Parking space, etc.).
  • It will conduct regular and surprise checking at various places, hostels and classrooms from time to time and will appraise the ARC.
  • It shall carry out an on-the-spot investigation into any incident of ragging and make recommendations to the ARC.
  • It shall conduct anonymous random surveys among fresher’s to check whether the Campus is indeed free from ragging.
  • It shall ensure that anti-ragging posters are displayed in designated places.
  • It shall occasionally dine with the new comers in the hostels to instill confidence among them.
  • It shall provide a report to the Anti-Ragging Committee and after that as directed by the Dean.

Grievance Redressal Committee

To ensure transparency in all the activities at different stages, the institute provides a proper mechanism for the redressal of grievances of staff and students. This committee intends to look into the Grievances related to the common and special problems, if any, at the Institute level both Academic and Administrative. The aggrieved member shall submit his/her petition (written) to the Grievance Redressal Committee in a sealed envelope marked ‘confidential’. On receipt of a petition, the Committee will endeavor to send its recommendations to the Principal for further action. In case of false and frivolous complaint (if proved), the Grievance Redressal Committee will recommend Principal/Disciplinary Authority to take appropriate action against the complainant. Complaints obtained from Google Form by students and parents are also redressed. All complaints are scrutinized by the Grievance Redressal Committee.

  • This cell should help the staff students and Parents to record their complaints and solve their problems related to academics, resources and personal grievances. Complaint/suggestion boxes can be installed.
  • To receive Grievance from faculty, staff and students/parents.
  • To find the facts of the grievances and to suggest remedial and preventive measures.
  • To review the suggestions/complaints raised by the students during periodical counseling.
  • To review the outgoing student’s feedback.

Internal Compliance Committee

The Institute has constituted Internal Compliance Committee to provide healthy and safe work environment among students and employees. It advocates the empowerment of women and has zero tolerance for any kind of sexual harassment. If any staff or students faces any type of discomfort they can directly approach the committee. Sexual harassment is a violation of an individuals’ right to work and live with dignity.
The College will respect the confidentiality and privacy of individuals reporting and the accused of sexual harassment to the extent possible. Care will be taken to see that complainants, witnesses and the harasser does not face victimization and discrimination during the process of enquiry.

  • To keep all records intact and in the proper order of the complaints received.
  • To inquire into such complaints and establish the facts.
  • To keep an elaborate process document to fetch such case describing the methods adopted and the settlement reached in solving the problem.
  • Creates awareness about the internal compliance committee cell among the institute academic and administrative units.
  • Promotes effective communication and collaboration among those responsible for compliance.
  • Ensure that the complainant and witnesses are not victimized or discriminated because of their complaint.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell–IQAC

Every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the institution’s system and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution;
  • Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process;
  • Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes;
  • Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles;
  • Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement;
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices;
  • Development of Quality Culture in the institution;
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines.

SC/ST/OBC Cell

Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes(ST) and Other Backward Class (OBC) has been identified as backward groups of Indian Society. They include all the castes, races or tribes, which have been socially, economically and educationally backward. A cell has been established to support and to bring students from such communities to the mainstream. The SC / ST / OBC cell was established with the purpose to empower the SC/ST/OBC students in the college. The college takes a special interest in facilitating financial support to students belonging to these communities from Government agencies and other sources. They are also encouraged to enroll for career orientation programs, which would equip them with the necessary skills to choose career option.

Student Counseling Cell

Counseling is a process that aims to facilitate personal well being of the students through support and guidance of trained counselors, for a healthy mind and body.
With the intent to address and help resolve emotional and psychological issues of the student community, the college has initiated the “Counseling Cell” in the college premises with the help of a trained team of faculty members as Counselors.
The goal of Counseling is to facilitate positive behavior changes, improving the student’s ability to establish and maintain relationships socially, promoting their decision making process, helping the student to understand their own potential and cope effectively with the problems they face.
