National Scholarships Portal is one-stop solution through which various services starting from student application, application receipt, processing, sanction and disbursal of various scholarships to Students are enabled.
This initiative aims at providing a Simplified, Mission-oriented, Accountable, Responsive & Transparent 'SMART' System for faster & effective disposal of Scholarships applications and delivery of funds directly into beneficiaries account without any leakages.

Mission

The Mission Mode Project (MMP) of National Scholarships Portal under the National e-Governance Plan aims at providing common electronic portal for implementing various Scholarships schemes launched by Union Government, State Government and Union Territories across the country.

• Ensure timely disbursement of Scholarships to students.
• Provide a common portal for various Scholarships schemes of Central and State Governments.
• Create a transparent database of scholars.
• Avoid duplication in processing.
• Harmonization of different Scholarships schemes & norms.

Who is eligible to apply for the NSP Scholarship Programme?

As per the NSP registration guidelines, in order to be considered eligible for the NSP Scholarship programme, applicants must be an Indian citizen. They must have successfully registered themselves for the scholarship programme and secured admission to a recognized institution for the current academic year. Besides, they must have secured the prerequisite marks in their previous qualifying examination.

Number of beneficiaries: 150 students every year.

STATE SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL:

A comprehensive State Scholarship Portal (SSP) has been developed by the Centre for e-Governance to sanction post-matric scholarships under various schemes of the Government of Karnataka. Considering the convenience of the students, the government has made the procedure easy to apply for scholarships through online.

New updates regarding the scholarships can be found in the State Scholarship Portal. Through SATS ID students can also get to know for which scholarship they are eligible for.

Objectives-

The SSP scholarship’s primary goal is to provide financial aid to all students who live in Karnataka. These scholarships assist deserving students from many fields who, for financial reasons, are unable to continue their studies. so that they won’t be under any financial constraints from their family while they pursue their education.

• The SSP scholarship site has been developed to meet the requirements of all students in Karnataka seeking scholarships.
• The amount of the award will be sent straight into the bank account under this scholarship program.
• The state’s dropout rates will also go down.
• Financial difficulties no longer force the student to halt their study.
• It should be noted that only residents of Karnataka are eligible for this scholarship program.
