Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)

Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of EPCET was established with the aim of offering specialized knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship. In response to the global shortage of jobs across both government and private sectors, which has contributed to unemployment and underutilization of human resources. EDC cell works to identify and nurture talented youth for entrepreneurial ventures.

EDC organizes programs focused on entrepreneurship-development. EDC helps to groom & develop young entrepreneurs among students of EPCET. EDC helps students to inculcate innovation skills. EDC organizes various activities to promote entrepreneurship skills among students of EPCET.

Entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in creating job opportunities by fostering innovation & Creation of new businesses. Entrepreneurs are drivers of new businesses & help to grow existing businesses by introducing innovative ideas. Entrepreneurs drive innovation and create new business models that didn’t exist before. Entrepreneurs helps create jobs in regional economies & Social Entrepreneurship- that focus on solving social, community problems, creating jobs & addressing societal needs. A Social Enterprise can offers training to low-income groups in areas like healthcare, education and technology, can create meaningful job opportunities.

Technical startups in software development, mobile applications and ecommerce has created millions of jobs worldwide in fields like Travel, digital marketing and product management.

  1. To raise awareness among students about entrepreneurship as a viable career option.
  2. To conduct training programmes in the field of entrepreneurial skill development
  3. To design entrepreneurship-focused course curricula for integration into engineering programs.
  4. To offer guidance and support to first-time entrepreneurs during the startup phase.
  5. To foster entrepreneurial mind-set and ecosystem among students & Create young Entrepreneurs.
